Made it to half term. Phew!
Nothing in today. I am not expecting anything until Sunday now so will see how it goes. Half term week and I will be busy starting other things to bring money in. Hoping for a very productive and lucrative June. I am just lucky I have the options to earn the extra money.

DD has a club in the morning and then I have the day to complete some research I have been tasked with looking at.
Have a lovely Friday night everyone.

I created a vision board a week ago and put on it some achievements that I’d like to accomplish. Every morning I wake up to it and every night I remind myself of what I’m wanting to achieve.

One of my goals is a balance between saving and treats. I’ve promised myself that if I can save £5000, then I could use some of my wages to buy a nice thing. I put up £5000 on my board and I don’t know why or how but in the last two weeks I’ve been told I’m getting £3200 in a bonus. It’s to do with some work I’ve been doing to help someone out. I have £1300 in savings already and next week I start my summer job that will easily bring in the remaining £500. So within a month of my vision board, I should have the £5000 I wanted. Only part of that money was expected. When I helped them out, I never dreamed they’d pay me for my support.

Just reading back over my first post and here was my original debts and goals for this October:

Credit card £575 - lots of bits of nothing on there (was £985 last week).
loan £9700 - was needed to pay off my ex - I have reduced the term of this to 3 years and 2.8% to ensure it is the lowest as well as being paid off the earliest. £280 a month payment for this.
    Mortgage £186,500 - £750 a month payments for this
Car £12,000 - in positive equity £148 a month payments.

    Credit card is currently 0.
    Loan is at £7642
    Mortgage £180,861
Car - unsure exactly approx £11,000

So my goal was to pay off 50% of my debt (not mortgage, but other bits).
    Currently paid off:
    Credit card £575
    Loan £2058
    Mortgage £5639
    Car - Approx - £1000

    Total = £9299.

Another £3000 needed to clear 50% of the debt off the loan. I have 5 months to do this. I am adding some new bits to it though
    £5000 in savings
    £3000 off the loan
    Mortgage under £178000 mark.

Big goals but no point setting goals if they aren't challenging.

That’s a fantastic bonus, someone obviously appreciates all you’ve done, what a lovely gesture. It’s a great idea to have a vision board of your goals to keep them in the forefront.

Well done on your bonus Willow, that’s good karma at work. 👍🏻 You’re doing so well on your savings and debt clearing.

Thanks Sun, a very welcome surprise.

The vision board is lovely as well. I’m able to see what makes me happy and work towards it x
