It's been 6 days that we completed and my solicitor still chasing seller's solicitor for the title deeds and transfer deed.

Does it normally take long to get this once completed?

Only in a hurry because in the process of remortgaging to release some of the purchase money haven had to complete cash in order to meet auction deadline and stamp duty holiday.

Been a busy time for conveyancers with the the end of June stamp duty cliff edge. Probably not considered a priority issue.

I wouldn't think this is specifically an auction conveyancing matter, and your conveyancer ought to be able to guide you on what's (currently) the norm. As above I expect everybody is swamped with sorting out post-completion SDLT holiday deadline stuff.

Likely the case, if it was a mortgaged property at present wouldnt care much when it is registered but because of the money borrowed from family, was looking to pay them back ASAP, but guess will have to be patient.

    Yeah true.
I did not want to create a new thread just used the old one.
my case is a little complicated due to buying through auction. The seller was not the registered owner on land registry so could not get a mortgage during purchase.

If it was a normal EA sale, would have stayed clear away.

I’m astonished that there haven’t been loads of posts about 30 June catastrophes. The system seems to have held up well.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Lol a moan won’t fix it. Likely issues will come up in the next few weeks.

Mine was more the auction. The stamp duty holiday was just an additional benefit.

auction was on the 3rd June, would have been hard to get a mortgage and complete by the 30th June.
