SHELL cease charge

Hi
Left she'll broadband in Dec  but was charged cease charge after previously been told by them that I would not be charged. Went through link from here to get the deal but I have no proof of this and I can only see 9 of my bills on account to see if there any details on there about the credit offer I signed up for. Anyone else had this refunded

I left Shell a couple of months ago. Got the email telling me of the £12 cease charge but queried it and they emailed back saying it wouldn't be charged.
So far, it hasn't been. My final bill shows £2-and-change in credit but no cease charge, and I returned the router and haven't been charged for that either.

Same for me. It's unclear what they were trying to write, but they mention switching and cancellation within the same paragraph.

    Thinking of switching?
If you’re thinking about switching, you’ll need to contact another provider and they’ll manage your switch. Or if you’d like to cancel your service, call us on 0330 094 9181. Please note that your cancellation is subject to a 30 day notice period. As your contract is expiring soon, you won’t incur early exit fees, however, you’ll still need to pay the £12 cease charge as per our Price List.

A cease charge is an industry term used when cancelling, not switching. The cost of openreach administering a switch is covered by the gaining supplier, if you cancel then you pay the cease charge.

I got that when my contract ended and emailed them saying i wish to make a complaint and received a phone call of Shell 2 days later telling me to ignore the cease charge, tried to sign me up to another contract but i said no ,but still with them till i get round to a move as they have been the best the providers i have been with in the  last few years.
