The previous update stopped the forums working on my laptop. 

This update has made them illegible on my mobile phone.

Why are you doing this? 

Like many people trying/needing to save money, my laptop is 12 and my phone is 8.

50% of my laptop screen is now irrelevant crap. And useful links between threads have disappeared. Nice  move you software wizards.

All the headings and the silly and unnecessary badges are overlapping the texts. It’s so clunky.

I did try on the laptop but it’s as bad as ever and the typing is all weirdly spaced as well now.

The next-to-last post in the announcement thread shows very well how poor the forum layout is. Notwithstanding the jarring left menu and wasted space below it, in this day and age there's no reason whatsoever for the layout to be restricted to a maximum fixed width - that is simply lazy design.

I have tweaked the layout to remove these issues (with some minor impact - i.e. I can't see the Create Post button unless I turn off the filters temporarily), but I'm not allowed to post how I've done it - any posts I've made showing this the forum Police have deleted. (I don't know why - it's not as if my tweaks impact their ad revenue or anything, as they're consistent in saying that the forum is not monetised through ad revenue, so the only people it impacts are those who use the filters). 🙄

If MSE are so interested in our feedback about the changes why do they they keep closing threads discussing them?

And it keeps signing me out, although I’ve chosen to keep signed in!

Also takes 3 attempt to get the cursor (or whatever you call it these days) in this box so I can type.

OH MY....   Its so BROKEN!!!

I have create post on the left followed by My Favourites, All Boards and Latest posts.   Nothing on the right except grey empty space???

Then 9 board sections also on the left, none of which are any that i regularly use.
One whole 2560x1440 of empty space.

Looks good on my phone, not so good on my iPad though.

Almost all the left hand side of the screen is just grey space.

It will take some time to get use to the new way of doing things.

Its strange that "Debate House Prices & the Economy" is still there, it hasn't been operative in over a year.

Surely the performance of the economy is a primary discussion on a forum about money?

I presume that's the reason why they kept Debate House Prices and the Economy in the new structure (albeit still Closed at present) whereas Discussion Time is gone for good.
