If you get sorted financially, double-check the DD does go out, as you might end up having the payment cancelled by the insurance company and then drive uninsured.0

I'd phone up the insurer and ask for a welfare team or a manager to assist you. However, there is no guarantee that will work in your favour as it depends on who your insurer is.
Also, your "insurer" may actually just be an insurance broker in which case their hands will be tied and they have no choice but to apply the rules.
If they do not assist you try phoning up a manager at work or your HR team to explain your issue. If you are comfortable revealing your problem to a trusted person in the company (it doesn't have to be your direct manager) then they may help you with an advance payment on your monthly pay. If I were a responsible organisation then I would surely agree to this.
You might need to show them your insurance policy details to prove you need that money for a legitimate purpose.
If you cannot find a solution at all then make sure you do not drive uninsured as that may turn a problem into a bigger problem.
Good luck!0
