Plusnet, last 2 months of contract, can I sign up to someone new now? (NOW)

Hi, seen a good deal with NOW and would like to sign up, I'm on the final 2 months of that old contract, so am I good to prepare the new one, as I've seen no option for a change over date or anything yet and half way through sign up. Thanks for any help, Mark

There is no penalty free switching window like you see in energy.  If you move away before the end date, exit fees will apply up until that date.

Plus, unlike energy, the cancellation process for current ISP seems to happen the minute you press "accept" on new one, not chance of setting tranfer dates or such like

It may be worth talking to the customer service with your new chosen provider. I did that when I switched to PlusNet 18 months ago, and I manage to pick my switch date back then ... well they were struggling because of surge in applications at the time I think, so they were quite happy to move date back a bit... don't know if they'd still do it or if other providers would but worth trying

They can agree a target c/over date - but it all hangs on Openreach engineer availability. In some areas this can be weeks later !
