Has anyone posted recipes or ideas for Wagyu beef? 

I've heard so much about Wagyu but never tried it, I'd love to see some good Wagyu recipe ideas as we're still very much new to this.

I have not seen it at a price I am willing to pay around here. Strictly a treat when we eat out, there is a place that does Wagyu burgers. I think you could adapt any quality burger recipe and chop, rather than mince the beef

After over spending last month and with StepKids for 3 weeks in August, plus a holiday, I am going to try for a belt tightenig month in July, this will bring the per day spend to £14.52 which is below my current YTD average.

LOL this made me giggle. I think if you can afford Wagyu beef you may be on the wrong thread ... all joking aside, its a choice cut of beef that wont need much doing to it. The flavour is all in the beef and fat. Just pan fry it like you would a steak, and enjoy it as it comes.

Morning everyone.  After going over budget in June I’m attempting £190 again.  I’m off shopping now as it was payday yesterday and the cupboards and fridge are very empty.  I’ve cleared the freezer and plan to up my batch cooking quantities so I can keep more stocks in there for during the week when I need to prepare something quickly.

Happy July to everyone and thanks again to @elsiepac for starting off the thread.

Could you put me down for my usual £4 per day please so that will be £124 for July for all food, laundry and cleaning materials for one adult with my month running from 1st to 31st, thankyou.

I had great success last month by dint of staying stuck to my sofa rather than venturing into anywhere I might be tempted to spend money and intend to try to keep this up at least for some of the time. I still seem to have an awful lot of vegetables, cheese etc. in the fridge so will try to use those up today and tomorrow by making either a savoury tart or soup with lentils.

I used to post to these challenge threads many years ago, I'd love to join back in and hopefully stop the crazy number of trips to the garage/co-op/corner shop for milk that ends up being £10 of rubbish!

Thank you again elsiepac, I know that I am late in stating my target but DS3 is returning from uni at the weekend and I want to add what I've saved over the year do far, so £146 for July please.
