Just catching up with threads as I was laptopless for 3 days, blew it up, spent the last day adding my stuff, BUT, as I am away from home until tomorrow, and my book with passwords not saved by my LastPass, some things I cannot access, have an Aldi shop to add and a few other bits.
Will wrap up July then.Do I need it or just want it.3 -
Hello, I’m declaring July at £170.66 but I’m convinced there’s a receipt missing. I’ve checked my bank and all the card transactions are accounted for so it must be a cash one. I knew I was doing ok but had worked out it would be around my normal amount. Maybe it is right, who knows with my fuzzy head 🤷♀️SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £660.03[ SPC 19 ?COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; Nov 2025 £17,241 2025 OP £2426.36/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £4689/£21,930 (21.38%)4

Thanks so much @thriftwizard! We’re still trying to settle in but are still waiting for delivery of critical furniture like wardrobes. The bedroom is currently a madhouse of clothes and suitcases. One last final spend to declare of £12.11 at M & S for yoghurt, milk, strawberries, 2 blocks of butter and something else. That means we’re closing out July with a total of £678.87. 😬 Definitely aiming for much lower in August.Have a good night all and see you on the August thread.3

Managed to retrieve lost data from dead laptop from my phone my total spends for July including said new laptop is £461.60,
Just totted up my annual budget and despite some large unexpected purchases still on track for my target.Do I need it or just want it.4 -
I finished July with a lower total spend than expected, due, I think to DS3 contributing some food, and him not being here as much as I expected. I also had a weekend with family but did share some of costs out of the Grocery budget. Declaring July at £96.30/146 and hopping over to the August thread.
Grocery challenge 2025: £1293/1500 annual budget5 -
Spent £165 / £200.
Moved at end of the month, so we were using up.
Due to relocation, we couldn't take what was left over foodwise with us, so we gave it to our neighbour.....I was shocked how much stuff was lurking in the back of the cupboards!
Going to skip the August challenge, as we are shopping from absolute zero, so no idea on the budget needed, but once all the basics are in, will join in Sept challenge, and make sure we are not so wasteful again!2021 in 2021 = 3005/2021
