CAMHS could easily do you a letter, ask them to email a short summary and forward that. Surely they are aware of the mother’s mental health as they look at the whole picture.

I have just had another phone call from BW legal who say that they would not have given the advice to get a drs letter. Lies. The letter states that she has been suffering with quite significant stress, anxiety and depression for some time which makes her feel quite anxious and that he would be grateful if the letter be taken into consideration. They are saying that this wouldn't make any difference, although I sent the letter as askedThis can't go to court as it could make her worseWhat shall I do please?0

B w legal act for the claimant , so they are bound to take their side , they don't act for the defendant
We advise people not to talk to them or debt collectors , nothing over there phone , it never resolves these cases , so in writing only
If the claimant wishes to issue a court claim , nothing will stop it apart from full payment
So until there is a court claim , nothing to do , apart from keep trying for a landowner cancellation
I think you are looking for a magic bullet , there isn't one !!

No phone calls !!!4 -
Block BW Legal phone numbers! Nothing good can come from a phone call especially as there is no written record. Has she received a Letter Before/of Claim? Has she received a N1 claim form? I am afraid the decision about going to court is not in her hands, however, it is not like a real court that you have seen on TV, it is small claims and these days it is likely to be a phone call or video hearing. If she is not strong enough to deal with a small clam hearing, you can be her lay rep - look it up - and see if that is something you can deal with.4

SHEILA54 said:It is BW Legal who are dealing with this, on behalf of Britannia parking so I don't think that it's a scam. I just don't think that it's fair. Britannia parking have said that now it has been passed to BW Legal, it has nothing to do with them
Block BW Legal’s number. You do not answer the phone to roboclaim firms attached like leeches this greedy industry.
This has everything to do with Britannia. Complain to the BPA and explain the circumstances and ask why Britannia have failed to offer to settle each PCN at £20, given they know this is a ‘keying error’ (old VRM on an app that doesn’t warn ‘are you sure it’s this car?’ is the same as any VRM keying error).Email Sara Roberts, Head of AOS at the BPA and visibly ‘cc’ copy in your MP and give Sara a link to this thread and ask her to read it. At least the BPA are an approachable Trade Body. This is shocking and these cases will be used by people like me as case study evidence in our submissions to the Government consultation coming up.This is rogue practice and wrong on so many levels, not least in view of the new policy on vulnerable ‘debtors’ (not that this is a debt). It’s extortion, specially with the added fake costs layered on top of each PCN so they can all share the spoils from this victim if she caves in. Utterly unjustified rubbish and it’s aggressive greedy crap like this that has led to the new Knight Act.Don’t forget to cc in your MP and name them in the first line of your email so Ms Roberts knows who has been copied in and link the URL to PAGE ONE of this thread, not the stupid ‘latest’ URL on this page that MSE think is useful but isn’t.

Don’t do it without the MP as well, work on this over the weekend and get it sent.
No point copying in the DVLA, they have proved useless at protecting our data from these rogue firms and have been a part of and IMHO sleepwalked into causing the exponential rise in PCNs by allowing any PPC to get data as long as they are BPA or IPC registered. It’s no better as a safeguard than the old SIA register of clampers was, yet the DVLA carry on handing out unreliable addresses to any AOS member, in millions per annum. No other Country would have let this happen to its communities and people at the hands of what was known to be a rogue ex-clamper industry, that the POFA was meant to rein in.PRIVATE 'PCN'? I have sent an email to both, asking them to read this and to advise, with a brief explanation of what has happenedThanks for your help2

I've just re-read this thread from the start, and saw with horror that you actually paid £320 for this non-event already.so, to get rid of the hassle which is causing her stress and ill health, I ended up paying £320 for the 1 day, £160 per each notice
What are Britannia playing at, taking that stupid amount of exaggerated money from you and trying to get over £600 more! Not recognising this situation as a major VRM keying error is pathetic IMHO, of course it is. I hope you get that money refunded, as a goodwill gesture for the stress caused to your family.
It is also not a multiple keying error but a single error, caused by these damn apps retaining car VRMs and bringing them forward within the data, without the clarity or prominence that the CRA 2015 requires.
A decent app would ask a driver to confirm which car you want to park by having to click to affirm exactly which car, or simply asking you to start typing the first few digits of the VRM so the system either recognises ir, or says 'do you want to register a new vehicle?'.
And if the BPA say it doesn't count as a keying error, well...we'll see. It is. Let's hope they agree.

I did as suggested and AOS contacted Brittania parking. Their final offer is to pay £400 for the offences left outstanding, by today, and AOS have suggested that is fair. I have sent them copies of payments under the old car registration for every occasion and also a letter from my Gp stating that she suffers with depression and anxiety .We have already paid out £320 for the 1st 2 but I will have to cover the amount on my credit card as she doesn't have much money.I really don't understand as she did pay and it seems ridiculous to me2
