            Trading Standards? Trading Standards (bournemouth.gov.uk)
I hope you get it all sorted. A tale of not doing bank transfers.0

Presumably you had or can get the address of the rental property? Serve him thereYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

I don't want to name him on here just yet, but he is a private landlord who owns a number of properties in the area. The properties do exist etc as ive weirdly stayed in another he owns years ago for someone elses stag party.Thrugelmir said:Who owns the property you were going to rent?0

Does it not have to be sent to his business address? Would that hold up? If its empty and he doesnt receive it what happens then?unholyangel said:Presumably you had or can get the address of the rental property? Serve him there0

Wasn't expecting you to name him. Land registry will provide an address that correspondence can be sent to.James_Timpson said:

For obvious reasons this could not go ahead in 2020 and we pushed the date back to August thinking that by then everything would be back to normal. As August approached and we knew that coronavirus was not going anywhere anytime soon, we pushed the booking back too April of this year 2021. In February of this year when Boris made his road map announcement, it was made clear that we would not be able to use the rental property in April due to coronavirus restrictions. At this stage I asked for my money back as my partner and I did not want to postpone our wedding for the 4th time to which the whole problem started…
Are you sure? Because from 12th April staying in self contained accommodation was allowed and you were allowed to travel.1

This is the crux of the matter - the accommodation is still available - just not for the stag party of 15 unrelated people.Tokmon said:James_Timpson said:The property was in Bournemouth where the landlord owns a number of rental properties. The end result is likely to be resolved via contract (and probably not in the OP's favour unless they had a specific clause built into the contract) or subsequently via court

I would take him to court but i cant get an address for him anywhere. If i send it to the address of the property will that suffice?0
