    UPDATE

All my paperwork was sent back and I finally opted for an August 4th Retirement with a payment I believe 23rd August.
They received all my required requested paperwork confirmed it has been received and original Documents and tracking coming back to me on the second week of July.

Then on the 27th July they said thank you for the paperwork but Payroll needed to verify my Account before paying me they said they would be in touch after that which was a month ago. I have heard nothing and not been paid. There was no mention of this requirement at any other stage.

I noticed on my status on the web information I changed from Preserved Pension to Preserved Pensioner which I thought looked promising but noticed to day it had changed back.

I wrote asking if I had missed something and should I have done something regarding verification and I have not heard a thing.

Looks like I have fallen down the rabbit hole.

In the mean time as of last week NZ has gone in to FULL lock down so if something did need to be completed by me it is not going to be.

They can certainly drag it out rather than pay and make it very very hard to get any money out of them.

Oh dear - another case of the Covid Rabbit hole where none of the worker rabbits have returned to the burrow?

Does this mean verify the bank account to which your pension is to be paid?

If not, what does it mean?

If you have not received the expected payment by the end of August, make a formal complaint.

And you might thank your lucky stars that you are not at the point of claiming your UK state pension....

    Hi Xylophone

I hope all is well with you.

Yes they need to verify the Bank to which the pension is to be paid.

Oh dear the UK state Pension sounds terrible those poor people.

Many thanks to the link to the complaints procedure.

I have just rang and I have missed the payment. Payroll do not appear to have done anything after a month and I was told that they would chase them. I was told not to worry I will get back dated which is no good to me as I am on Emergency tax code. It just gets worse.

    Hello All

A quick Update. I am now a Pensioner . I received an apology for not keeping me updated and they also, even though it missed the August pay date, put a payment through.

Many thanks to everyone who helped.

    Take care all  :)
