Hi,

Just after some help/advice.

I have today received an NTK for a PCN issued first week of May in the early hours of the morning in Leeds for parking without a permit at an apartment block. I live in Cheshire, where my car is kept and it most definitely was not in Leeds this night/morning.

I suffer from anxiety and this is causing me a lot of stress knowing 100% it wasn’t us . I don’t want to just leave this.

Now I understand this could be a case of entering digits wrong or something more serious as cloned plates. The PCN didn’t have any pictures attached so guessing either could be an option however, the cloned plates seems unlikely.

the PCN read as though prior notice has been given as says it’s gone past the period for the reduced amount. I have received nothing via the post. Do private companies stick to the car like council?

Can anyone suggest how best to deal with this please so I’m ready to do this tomorrow?

Thanks in advanced.

Ah... we don't see them very often. A BPA operator.

Send the blue text template appeal easily found in the first post of the NEWBIES thread.

Send it unchanged - no additions or alterations needed.

    Send it as the keeper.

Log onto the web site as if you were going to pay, but obviously don't, and have a look at the photos they have there. See if there are any differences to your car such as badges, stripes, stickers that you don't have, or vice versa.
If there is a supplier's name on the number plate, see if they are different, or a n obviously different length.

Complain to the DVLA that the PPC has obtained and processed your personal data without reason.
Do the same to the PPC and the BPA.

Complain to the landowner or managing agent.

Send an SAR to the PPC as per the NEWBIES. This will flush out all the photos containing your VRM.

  • Perfect thank you. So send that straight and don’t bother trying to ring them?

Glad it was after 5.30 as I rang them in a panic but obviously didn’t get through!

There are no photos, is this usual?

I suggest an additional one liner to the template that the car was never at this location, and the PPC has misread the VRM and then unlawfully obtained and processed your personal data.

  • Thanks again. Should I do this in letter form or via their appeals page on the site suggested?

Immediately underneath that blue text template in the NEWBIES thread it says...
