    Even those whose condition has remained the same usually have an assessment. Paper based assessments are rare. My advice is to expect one.

    Youngest managed a paper based review this week, completely unexpectedly it has to be said. A really quick turnaround too, review form received by them on the 2nd of this month and a phone call on Monday by a decision maker to clarify a couple of things.

    I was actually in shock as I thought it would be many months of delays and a very traumatic assessment as happened when he transferred at 16 from DLA to PIP.

    I won't relax until the decision letter plops through my letter box though...
    We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
    Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
