Unlikely.  And you'd probably not find out for sure until after you change.

I have messaged Barclaycard asking this exact point as my 0% is coming to an end soon on my Platinum and the Rewards would be useful for foreign travel next year (hopefully).

    Still waiting a response.

An eligibility check states I have no chance of getting the Reward Card, in its own right, with my current credit portfolio.

(Opened too many VM current accounts AND a Halifax CASS incentive in short space of time. Nil overdraft request on each makes no difference apparently)

You also have to consider that your credit limit may not stay as high on your platinum card .....on the new reward card, the credit limit could drop?
I assume barclaycard still wont allow you to have both cards as thats what the told me a few years ago.

I changed to the rewards card last month from Platinum. My balance was zero, but it said all interest rates, and credit limit stays the same.

My 0% on purchases rate until Nov 2021 has remained in place after I upgraded  from Platinum to rewards a month or so ago

This sounds like you did an eligibility check to apply for a brand new card, which would have automatically said no because Barclaycard do not allow you to apply for an additional Barclaycard if you already have one. What you need to do is see if you are eligible to upgrade your existing card, which you can easily see if you are if you have their app.

Was that a straight swap by Barclaycard, or did you need to close one and apply for the other separately please?

It's a product change, no hard search, limit and interest rates stay the same.

    Thanks.

Found it in the Barclaycard app now, just as you suggested.

Will hit the button when my 0% deal expires and my balance is £0.

Straight swap, it explained it when I clicked on the link, no new application, like everyone else has said.
