Why do you keep closing the 'new forum' threads.
Do you not want people to comment? Isn't that what a forum is supposed to be for?

Hello,
We're not sure from your post which threads you're referring to but we took the decision to temporarily pause a couple of threads about the upcoming changes to the Forum over the weekend.
The reason being - the Forum Team work during office hours and wouldn't have been around to respond or reply to Forumites asking questions or wanting some clarification. The threads are back open now.
Many thanks,

Whilst it's probably not the forum posts the author had in mind, I've noticed a few competition posts which are closed. It seems to prevent people from marking them as entered or skipped which is slightly annoying. Why would someone close such posts an example of which I include below?

"The closing date is 23:59:59 18th January 2022".

That competition was not actually posted until two days after it had already ended. The Closing Date had been correctly set as 18/01/2022 and as that was already in the past, the thread immediately became "closed". It then remained on the Competitions Time board until it was spotted and moved to Game Over by a BG at 10:43 pm on the 20th.Bob1
