What you do is accept a offer for cashback at a retailer Argos, trainline, ebay are 3 that trip straight of the top of my head.
I have known them refund 3 months with no issue, then anything further they want to send something out. I have known 5 years refunded in the past.
2 years ago it was a simple case of clicking on the offer box & fill in email address, they get card details from retailer. She has no recollection of giving her account details separately to wly*, so that is why I wondered if - at the time - all that had to be done was effectively tick an additional box to sign up to the free month offer of savings with them.Anyhoo, lesson learnt.0 -

Do you know if they were the same 2 years ago?I've no idea.Perhaps your daughter could say if they were the same 2 years ago. She was the one who signed up to the £15.00 per month membership - quite possibly lying on the application form about her age (depending what the T&Cs say).As for '16 year old sucker' - isJeepers_Creepers said:careless twitWhat do you mean 'these are their current guidelines'?What are their current guidelines? The Which? article you provided the link to was dated 26th October 2017 and I wouldn't have thought that Complete Savings would have made it less transparent to sign up over the last 3-and-a-half years.By 'current guidelines', I'm asking if the sign-up process you describe is their current system, or was all this required 2 years ago as well?Yes, I referred to her as a 'careless twit' - mainly for not checking her bank account statements properly, even tho' we've repeatedly told her to.You seem to be quite keen to call her this too - for having been sucked in to a rolling contract, despite her intention never having been to sign up to a monthly process.

Do you know if they were the same 2 years ago?I was not referring to your daughter specifically.Based on what Complete Savings said in the Which? article I was disagreeing on a generic basis with what another poster said about 'being suckered'.But I'll agree with your assessment ofJeepers_Creepers said:careless twitIf what Complete Savings said in the Which? article is true (and was true when your daughter signed up) it seems that they went to some lengths to tell people what they had signed up to.Did your daughter disregard those 'regular email communications, including five in the first 30 days of their membership to confirm their member details, remind them about billing and encourage them to make the most of their membership benefits.’?What do you mean 'these are their current guidelines'?You've not posted any guidelines or links to them. Just a link to a Which? article dated October 2017.born_again said:You do not tick any box to sign up to this company.

2 years ago it was a simple case of clicking on the offer box & fill in email address, they get card details from retailer. This is different to what they say in the Which? article dated October 2017.So a less up-front approach by this company.

As I saids there is no tick box. It is a simple case of clicking on a link after a purchase is made at hundreds of retailers that simply says "Have XX cash back on us" within that is the fact that you are agreeing to CompleteSave taking £15 a month for their services.
They are a good company to deal with in terms of getting funds back. They are another company that we deal with a lot. People always say. Never signed up to them, but when you go back and check their accounts I can always tell them which purchase it was that they made and how they signed up.Life in the slow lane1 -

How prominent is this notification?

born_again said:It is not a saving acc. All they are is a site that you go to and clicking on retailers links from their site can give you discounts or cash back.My bad grammarI meant "...effectively tick an additional box to sign up to the free month offer of (obtaining discount) savings with them."Thanks for your comments.

Can I comment on this but not to do with the problem but to do with the OP. How nice to see a question placed without blame to the company concerned/everyone else and a genuine assessment of what has occurred with no dummies/prams and no deleted posts.
Just my observations. Makes a refreshing change.4 -

And not a mention of scam, con or rip-off either.
A very refreshing change.1 -
