Just to give you an update.
My son came home from school and I gave him the details and asked him what he now thought about the house.
His reply was “Cool, Do you think the ghosts will help me with my homework?”.
He was not bothered at all so relief all round.26 -

They are supposed by law to disclose, Good negotiation point wait until last minute bring it up and try to get some money off I would start with 10% Remember when you move on it might not bother you but might bother future buyers.1

I wouldn't be at all bothered by the killings. Dead people tend to be quiet and keep themselves to themselves, except in the movies. If you buy a former workers' cottage, say, which dates from before the advent of the NHS, then it's a fair bet that adults, children AND babies have died there.
If the murderer is no longer extant, and it's not so notorious a murder that modern day ghouls want to visit the place, I wouldn't give it a second thought.0 -
I'm really surprised the EA did not disclose this.
We lived near a house where a murder (family member) took place mid 2020. The house went on the market a few months later and took a few months to sell, but it did sell.
Included in the property description is the following:
Agent's Note; the agent is aware of a serious crime incident taking place at the property - all interested buyers are advised to speak to their solicitor before entering a commitment to purchase.0 -

The former owner of my last property died in the house (not murdered) and when I sold it I wasn't asked if anyone had died there, by either the EA or the new owners/legal paperwork.
