Glad I requested my refund now. Not received yet but had email to say will be refunded. Won’t be using Sutton’s again.0

I ordered the offer from April. Originally advised delivery in late May. My second delivery date in June passed without any further information about a later date. I have now cancelled the order and have a promise of a refund, although this has yet to materialise.
As an aside, I have noted the Suttons emails look familiar. They are pretty much identical to the Thompson & Morgan ones. It seems the T&M parent BVG Group took over Suttons in Nov 2020. Looks like they have dragged Suttons down to T&M levels of customer disservice.0 -
Read on MSE's weekly newsletter to include "MSE" in title of any email to Suttons to speed up a response. Tried this but still no email response.
Latest for me is that plants should be dispatched w/c 12 July, but I'm not holding my breath! My main worry is that I might be on holiday when they actually turn up after months of waiting!
Whole thing is made worse by the constant bombardment of emails trying to get me to buy more plants. I am loathe to give Suttons any more money because they don't deliver and have dreadful customer service.0 -
Just had an email to say dispatch w/c 17 July. No explanation why it's been pushed back again.
Absolutely fed up with Suttons.0 -
Hi, did you receive the refund? I received an email saying I would be refunded a month back but still haven’t been. I chased (with MSE in the title) and waited 9 days as their auto response states. I then raised a case via PayPal and again have waited 9 days. I’ve now asked PayPal to escalate as it’s a month since they said they would refund. Makes me wonder how much money they are sat on from these orders and whether they rely on people not chasing up on the refund.Diane_Sampson_77 said:Glad I requested my refund now. Hi all.
Ordered 28th April.
Just 1 update on 30 April advising dispatch date pushed back to 7 May.
I have to admit I completely forgot about them until 3 days ago when I received a dispatch email - No updates since 30 April (this order not linked to my online account, and all my previous sutton orders have 'disappeared' too).
They arrived today and what a straggly, weak bunch of seedlings they are with some not much bigger than 1cm high! General advice is plant perennials out in spring or autumn when soil is moist. What am I supposed to do? To top it all, they promised 12 varieties and there are only 11. They sent an apology note titled: "A change to your order ...". They did not send the beautiful scarlet Geum, Mrs Bradshaw, instead doubling the normal x6 Dianthus Rockin Red to x12. Anyone else had this happen?

Not happy at all.0 -
Arrived today after almost 3 months and no contact from Suttons except when I contacted them.Genal29 said:Nothing from Suttons ref my order on 27th April of 72 perennial plug plants (200854 Best Value Perennial Collection) using the MSE link.
I contacted Suttons after the anticipated dispatch date of 31st May came and went.
After a few days I got a reply on the 7th June saying "We do now expect your order to be despatched in the next 7-10 days".
So far no plants and no update from Suttons.
Perhaps MSE should reconsider whether it wants to be associated with Suttons...
I doubt that 6 or more of the plugs will survive .. but hopeful for the rest now they are potted up.0 -
Same substitution. Mangled large envelop sized parcel left on doorstep by post office. Content relatively unscathed.manchestman2 said:Hi all.

Arrived today - what a load of rubbish. £2 would have been robbery never mind £20 but worth £40.
And I paid extra for some magic dust to make them bigger! 0
