Changing battery on 4 year old mobile
Options
Is it worthwhile to change the battery on a 4 year old mobile phone, or should I just get a new Android phone? I don't mind getting a new battery, but this might be a waste of money if the phone won't last much longer. It is used for zoom and similar, which I think may have run down the battery.
Any thoughts?

Depends on the phone some will be worth sorting some won't.
If it is physically still good probably worth keeping
I gave up on a couple of Nokia when the buttons failed but still have a Honor with cracked screen as a backup battery on that is on its way out.
.
if not used much in mobile situation you may get away with just using it on charge or with a power bank(which you can reuse when you change).1 -

Even if it is a smartphone, many of the earlier ones do not have hardwired batteries, so it's just as easy to replace them. But, unless you tell us the actual model you have, it's speculation.
