The DCA has added what appears to be an extra unlawful amount for debt collection. Judges have dismissed an entire claim because of this. Read this and complain to your MP.
Excel v Wilkinson
At the Bradford County Court, District Judge Claire Jackson (now HHJ Jackson, a Specialist Civil Circuit Judge) decided to hear a 'test case' a few months ago, where £60 had been added to a parking charge despite Judges up and down the country repeatedly disallowing that sum and warning parking firms not to waste court time with such spurious claims. That case was Excel v Wilkinson: G4QZ465V, heard in July 2020 and leave to appeal was refused and that route was not pursued. The Judge concluded that such claims are proceedings with 'an improper collateral purpose'. This Judge - and others who have since copied her words and struck dozens of cases out in late 2020 and into 2021 - went into significant detail and concluded that parking operators (such as this Claimant) are seeking to circumvent CPR 27.14 as well as breaching the Consumer Rights Act 2015. DJ Hickinbottom has recently struck more cases out in that court area, stating: ''I find that striking out this claim is the only appropriate manner in which the disapproval of the court can be shown''.

Morning all.
Just sharing the latest letter received, which has upped the ante somewhat, including a page labelled "Terminal notice - pre-legal action" and also a introducing a very serious-looking "legal manager" - you'll see what I mean.
Just to be clear I am mindful of all previous comments kindly provided on here so this letter clearly doesn't change anything on that front, just sharing it for reference.
Thanks as always for looking.
Kind regards

If you think that's upped the ante, think again, but I glean from your post that you are not trembling with fear!
Seen that letter too often recently and we've also discussed that the photo of 'Andrew Hunt' is likely a stock image of a man.
Absolute joke of a letter!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

For anyone interested; in the year ended 31st March 2019 all of Debt Recovery Plus Ltd's employees were transferred to a new company-DRP(Services) Ltd-so none of those letter "writers" actually work for DRP Ltd.
Strangely, I can't see that DRP(Services) Ltd has ever registered with the ICO as a Data Processor/Controller-(perhaps an email to ICO is in order to clarify).2 -

Afternoon all
After a festive break, the latest communication came through today so just sharing as before. It's now from a 'new' organisation "CST Law" (who have a somewhat similar logo to the previous lot, Debt Recovery Plus and, surprise surprise, they have a Director in common). They're now introducing the threat of court proceedings more forcefully. Anyway, I'll continue to sit tight and look forward to the next instalment. Thanks as always for any thoughts and insight. All the best. J

Have a look at the CST Law Group thread.
They do start occasional claims but generally harass people with silly letters.
I don't think we knew Credit Style Ltd shares a Director with DRPlus. Who?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

With regards to the shared Director, there is an individual with the same name and age who, for some reason, has two entries on Companies House with CSL and DRPlus appearing separately on each. Obviously that may be a complete coincidence...
