Best bet for UK mobiles to be used in USA

As far as I can see, Three is the only UK provider to allow one's data allowance to be used for a trip to the USA. As that could potentially save a fortune over a month long trip next year, it seems like one of Three's Advanced Plans is my only sensible option. But am I missing other possibilities? Thanks.

I would like to think Tiffanys would have "diamond quality" WIFI

Yesterday I had a nice coffee outside the Library on 42nd and 5th Ave while getting the WIFI from the library - a very fast WIFI I must say
