Was a grandchild a beneficiary in grandparents will?

Update...
Mum-She has reported to sister that she has not seen the will, Uncle J phoned her to tell her she was not in it at all and he could read it out to her. She declined. Uncle J told her, sister had replaced her Share in the house. Mum reports she still speaks with Uncle J regularly and he is her next of kin.Step grandfather-sister still has a good relationship with him so asked if he had seen the will. Step grandfather advised he could not help, he has not seen the will however Uncle S had told him sister had replaced mum in her Share of the house.
Uncle J-wall of silence, sister has tried to contact him with no response.Solicitor X-Returned sisters call and specified Uncle J is the executor and she needs to contact him. (Sister approached another firm who advised they could not help)Cousin-I have asked for a copy of the will several times to no avail. She reports she has seen it, There are a few contradictions from her too as she has previously said Sister had been given mums share now this...House-Mum, Uncle J & Uncle S have a share of half the house, on the event of sister turning 21 (or 18-she has said previously?) And mum not being ‘normal’ mums share will go to Sister. (Mum has been in and out of psychiatric wards for the past 20 years) I cannot imagine this terminology could be used or enforced but I don’t know enough about law.She and her siblings now have their dads share.Land-Her mum (Uncle S’ widow) has received a ‘proposal letter’ for the land to be sold (est 300k but could be much more with planning Permission)
Uncle J & S are named on the restriction as my earlier post with the proprietors extended family members. Cousin states it is only her dad and Uncle J with this share.I have found a Solicitor firm from STEP as advised previously, My question is, Is sister asking them to write to Uncle J for more information/a copy of the will or does this make no difference anyway until step grandfathers house is sold?I cannot help feeling there is something more to this at the detriment of sister but unsure what?0
