When is a tetanus booster recommended for travel?

I notice on the official travel sites it talks about considering getting a tetanus booster if it's more than 10 years since you last received an injection and medical facilities are likely to be limited where you are travelling.  However, it says that on the pages for many southern and eastern European countries.  I notice the FCDO advice for Bosnia specifically states that outside Sarajevo medical facilities are limited, so I would presume that would be an instance where a tetanus booster is recommended.  However, I was wondering has anyone ever been advised to get one by a doctor/nurse when you are planning to travel to/around Europe?

I've been getting them regulary every time I've ended up in casualty or sometimes a nurse if I'm over the 10yrs.

It's worth getting if you travel along with some others. It doesn't matter when you do it as it lasts 10yrs...........

My part of England used to be known for the bacteria being in the soil and it's not something you want to fall ill with at all.

Current NHS advice seems to be you don't normally get boosters as an adult unless you're going to somewhere where medical facilities are limited, even though the vaccines only provide protection for around 10 years.

My GP will have on record that my last shot was around the year 2000. I've never been offered a booster since.

I have never had a booster ever.
Been to many countries over the decades too and never been given one nor ever offered one.
