Red Balloon .  OH's  was applied for at end of March  . Its appeared in his account at the beginning of this month  as the members one , not  as an instant first .
  • I am currently in conversation with Nationwide about my new ISA.  I won't go into the long and tedious story but in short instead of taking a set figure they took all of my funds from one ISA provider which put me in severe problems there as the source ISA was closed.  They then did not take funds from my Flex account.

I raised a complaint at the Nationwide and after 3 months of email exchange I received compensation. I also agreed in writing that the no other actions would be taken by Nationwide on the new ISA.

On the 4th August I saw that over half the funds had been withdrawn from my Nationwide ISA as of the 16th April.  Those funds are in the form of a cheque with another ISA provider who cannot cash it because Nationwide has failed to send the correct documentation.

The whole Nationwide ISA system is a total shambles, and the managers should consider their potions.

    They fail their OWLS?  :)

You agreed that the transfer from the old ISA would stand.

Despite this NW transferred half of the transferred cash  back to the former provider, even though there was no account to accept it?

    Make another formal complaint.

  • Another month gone by (5 months now) and still waiting. Nationwide "run for the benefit of its members" haven't had the courtesy to contact me with any explanation whatsoever since May. I even used Resolver to complain formally three weeks ago and all I get is bland holding lettters (two so far) with 12th September said to be the next likely update. How hard is it to hold your hand up and apologise. I note the MSE update (23rd August) which contains a clear and obvious 'mistruth' from Nationwide "has admitted that a few hundred applications are still outstanding. It blames this on either waiting for the funds or other information from the ISA provider customers are transferring from". Nationwide has had everything they need from me since 21st April and I have the simplest easy access ISA with a regular High Street building society provider #simples. Thank goodness for MSE highlighting what's going on (or not going on) as the case may be. It's also a kick in the teeth from Nationwide to see that "there are currently no delays with new cash ISA transfers and they are being completed within the usual 15 working day window". Thanks Nationwide!
