Thanks Sleepy. I don't doubt what you say for a moment. In fact, when I was interviewed, I did say that I appreciate that our comping forum is just one section on their site. But they did say they would sort at least some of the issues, which they haven't. Regardless, if they are not going to sort things for us, or can't, all I'm saying is, they should tell us. If they did that, we could then each make an informed choice whether to accept it as it is, or move on.

They implied the site would be just about ready to go from the off, there was no reason to doubt that as they had plenty of time to get it tested and correct before the switch over - it wasn't a case of finding out on a Sunday that there would be a new forum on a Monday they had months to prepare for it and they choose when to launch - then instead of taking ownership of the issues and saying we cannot or cannot yet restore the features that are missing like A, B C, D etc they almost made it seem like a surprise when functions they should have known about were not there.Blulu said:Thanks Sleepy. At the moment the top destination sites from the forum after the main mse site are planetradio, checklists, and snizl - all links from competitions time.2 -
mjm - you do know that it's not me you need to convince about this, don't you? Unless I've seriously misunderstand you, (which is very possible, cos I am to tech stuff what Donald Trump is to Amnesty International) but I think we're batting on the same side over this one, ain't we?

Oh yes, that was a post of agreement and to highlight some of the failingsBlulu said:mjm - you do know that it's not me you need to convince about this, don't you? Just out of interest, how do you keep track of what you’ve entered if you’re using two different sites? Do you just have a good memory? I’d be worried I’d be entering stuff twice.strawberri_shortcake said:This is not intended to be negative or argumentative. I don't use this forum for friendship, I use it to take part in a hobby that these days I have little time for and to that end, it's no longer as fit for purpose as it used to be. I understand that Competitions Time is only a small piece of a larger pie so I don't really have strong feelings about it, I just use another forum that is very suited to my needs and check this one for anything I've missed (which is pretty much nothing).1 -

I occasionally enter using another site - I enter all on here, then I go to the other site and only enter Social media ones and Gleam and Rafflecopters on the other site, so I don't duplicate myself (I try to like all the competitions I enter via social media, so I know if I've already entered or not) You can't accidentally dupe yourself on RC's or Gleams.
Very rarely do I enter any web competitions from another site, only if it is a prize I really desire and know for a fact, I haven't entered it, you can try the search and see if it has been posted here or not, if not you can post it yourself and mark it as entered, but I never really have the time for that.
Hope that makes sense.
I know that question wasn't directed at me! I just thought I'd let you know how I do it.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.2 -
Ms_Dee that’s really useful, thank you
