Sim without Monthly
Sounds a bit strange but I run a small business where I use my personal mobile for work.
however, I now want to have a new mobile for my business.
the issue I have is while I’m busy, I don’t do a lot of outgoing and some months none at all.
I was wondering if there was a sim which didn’t require a monthly top up.
I think most have a timescale of 180days to use the credit which I’m fine with
any pointers or recommendations would be great!

For ultra low use.
You could try a three data reward SIM
£0 top up 200MB free a month.
Min top up £2 still seems to be 321 rates.
Might not like you using it a business.
3 coverage might be an issue.
Free to try it out
O2 classic £10 first top up supposed to be no top up needed just use a bit.
Sky mobile have a £42(total) deal for three years and maybe will go longer calls text included 100MB a month.

thanks so much, I’ll check these out x0 -
When I took at my new virgin broadband deal they threw in a free phone - obviously have to be careful at end of contract but maybe look for offers like that - as a small business I imagine you could live with a bit of crossover between work and home.
But the deals getmore4less posted look very suitable maybe decide what's the most you want to pay and get the best/longest you can. Try your current work provider - with EE (and some others) you can move data around between the phones if they are all on the same bill.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
The time limit isn't about using the credit, it's about the period after which the SIM is deactivated and the number recycled if you fail to make a chargeable call or text.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

My 3 data reward SIM sat unused for probably a year in a dead phone over lockdown.
Fired it up 200MB sitting there with the left over credit.
Probably the cheapest ultra low use option.
Got one in a spare phone 200MB a month not put any credit on it yet.
Great for a dual SIM phone where you can isolate your data use.0 -
EE payg requires no topup and the credit doesn't expire as long as you make a chargeable text or call from your phone every 6 (?) months.
From memory, texts are 10p and calls 20-odd pence per min0 -
Invoices and statements might matter for your business - or they might not. If they do, it's worth checking whether the operators give you some or not.
Three do not provide any form of itemised usage statement or invoices that I could find. I'm not even sure you get a full invoice/vat receipt for any top up (can't login to their admin right now, I'll check tomorrow)
I use a giffgaff one in my business for international calls (the uk calls are not competitive at 25p though free as soon as you get a bit of data) again, nothing itemised but you do get a vat invoice for your top up.

1p mobile or Asda mobile.0

1p Mobile requires a minimum top up of £10 every 120 days, so not really suitable for the OP, as they would need to spend min £30 per year.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Another option (credit to someone on here in another thread) is RWG - free Inc 50 min (or texts) plus 250MB.
