Hoping for some clarity on settlement of property in a separation

    I'm not out of the woods yet  - but feel the steps and process are now much much clearer.

    have also had some proper legal advice on the finer points - which i would advise anyone in a similar position to do.

    one thing i am not fully clear on - that perhaps someone can clarify is  -
    if, i don't get an offer I feel I can accept, in what circumstances would a court likely order that one partner buys the other out. 
    or is the default where there are no children, no other people living in or having ownership of the property, that in the end the court would just order a sale ?
    It does depend on the circumstances and the judge, there are no hard and fast rules.

    As you signed a deed of trust confirming that you owned 50% of the property, I'm afraid I cannot see a judge making any other decision except for saying that you are entitled to 50%.
