Received a short text to my O2 mobile stating Virgin Media have joined forces with 02.

It said my service will stay the same for now. PAYG.

There was a link with further info but I don’t have a smart phone.

There wasn't much info in the links, FAQ's said nothing will change (yet), not pricing nor signal, that type of basic stuff. Contracts & shop use (stay with your own for now), contract & PAYG payments made same way. Why don't you just log in to 02 account & see what it says there, also their 'community' will be discussing it, & helpful.

In short the 'links' might as well have been just the words "we've joined with Virgin Media, but no changes YET".
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

I received a similar message from Virgin Media.  I read it that Virgin were simply now piggy backing on O2 rather than EE.  Have Virgin and O2 actually formed a new company?

I'm with Virgin, does this mean that they're going to be piggybacking off O2,  and if so, when do they change from EE?

Virgin Mobile signed a 5-year deal to migrate from EE to Vodafone (new Virgin customers since Jan 21 are on Voda)... https://www.virginmedia.com/corporate/media-centre/press-releases/virgin-media-and-vodafone-strike-new-mobile-deal

So quite possible that you'll go to Vodafone before a migrate to O2 as that Contract expires?

Unless they can buy themselves out of the Vodafone deal economically?

    I missed this. :'(
Received a text today saying I have until January to migrate to 02 blah, blah. I can't see a basic PAYG with 02 - just bundles  :#
