Cheapest way to get Sports TV for non Internet savvy gent

My friend has been looking into getting Now TV for the sports channels, mainly golf and cricket, but he only has limited Internet access, just 20gb per month through a mobile broadband deal with Three. This would mean he'd drain his Internet very quickly if he was watching sport on the telly. He only just started a 2 year contract with Three and so he doesn't really want to pay the large fee to get out of contract and sign up for full unlimited broadband at this stage.
Does anyone know of any good deals for sports tv packages preferably that aren't based through the Internet? He has a pretty basic tv, so I'm guessing a box like sky or similar would be his best option, but not sure if there are other ways of doing it that we haven't thought of. Any advice would be much appreciated

Sky or Virgin.  All other solutions are internet based AFAIK.

Of course neither of these will be cheap.

If you really want to go down the internet route then he could upgrade to unlimited with Three you can usually move up to a more expensive contract with no penalty, we had three broadband for a while and it was only about £30 for unlimited and worked very well.

Thanks for the responses everyone. We have checked with Three  if We could upgrade him to unlimited internet but they say they will charge him a huge penalty for this. I think I might call them back to double check though, as it does seem strange since he'd be getting a more expensive contract.
