    Proof of postage or proof of delivery only ever proves that a package of a certain weight was accepted by the carrier and delivered to the correct address. Ultimately, as any resulting dispute is normally only a civil matter and is decided on the balance of probabilities, it is simply one piece of evidence that may (or may not) tip the case in your favour.
