I have a TP powerline socket  for my desktop computer to connect via ethernet. I also want to be able to plug my laptop into this to get a more stable connection for teams calls. I'm not going to be using them at the same time but I don't want to be faffing around under the desk changing the ethernet between the laptop and the desktop.
I've had a look on Amazon but can't work out what I need - just something that will let me have two ethernets connected to the powerline adaptor plug instead of just the one that is there at the moment. And nothing that needs plugging into an electric socket.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I don't think that is possible.
You can replace the existing powerline for one that has more than one ethernet socket or one that also has wifi

You can use a network switch, but this will need a power outlet.
You connect a cable from the homeplug to the switch and everything else into the switch.

You might be able to use an old/spare router for this, but it will take some configuration.

Thanks all. Probably easiest to go down the two port powerline route.

Sorry to jump in on somebody else's idea, but basically that would bring the ethernet port up to your desk so you can swap plugs without crawling on the floor, so for example something like the cable below. You would plug one end into the powerline adaptor and then put the socket end on your desk so you can swap the PC and Laptop ethernet cable without crawling on the floor.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/rhinocables-Ethernet-Extension-Netwok-Extender-CAT5e/dp/B072JBK9DN/

My recommended solution would be one of these:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TL-SG105S-Ethernet-Lifetime-Warranty/dp/B07HP5TN4S/

But as said above, you need another power outlet to plug it into but it would work with both the PC and Laptop connected.

Ideally you'd buy a new powerline adaptor with twin ports but all the above solutions are cheaper.

Could you  move the extension lead to above the desk so you can get to the powerline plug

FYI @elsien you shouldn't be using a powerline adaptor on an extension lead.
