Not necessarily. It depends on whether their programs check during the application, or whether they subsequently do manual checks, possibly by a Head Office department. It appears that Nationwide could be doing the latter. Though who knows, there could be other reasons for why they turned you down.kieran_coster said:
Well surely I wouldn’t pass the credit check in the first place if that’s the case? But I do pass the first credit check it’s after a few days when they go through security checks it gets closedEd-1 said:

Cat 6 don’t show up on your credit file, it was never on there in the first place as I pass the credit checks and the accounts get opened then a few days later they get closedEd-1 said:

Nationwide declined me again trying tsb nowsuperM said:My other half CIFAS and TSB declined her applucation. I challenged the CIFAS and it was removed. 6 months later she reapplied and it was accepted straight away.
So there is a chance.
The CIFAS will remain on your credit files until the CRAs receive their monthly updates. You need to wait until it has fed through to the CRAs.

Why did you not apply online? If the 'situation' you explained to them is that you used to have an incorrect CIFAS marker, why did you mention that?Yeah it’s looking good so far I went into branch explained my situation have a account open so far just waiting for it to fully be opened and pass all checks0 -
