Fantastic xSealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j1 -
More good news - I won £100 in premium bonds, woohoo!!!! 😃
This will go straight to the santander pot once it hits my account.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0
03.07.2023 - CC (0%) £9,859 / Loan £0 / Savings £10,1102 -
Gave myself a haircut this morning, saved £30 or so. I haven't been to a hairdresser in ages but the cheap cut bar ones were about £25 last time I visited. Cut is not perfect but is lovely, I'm really pleased. It's the first time I diy a short bob and it turned out better than I was fearing! 😅
Spendy day today as I paid for some extra party food and need to buy party bags fillers, I'll check home bargains first. I want to keep it low cost but not buy any/much plastic tat, maybe some haribos, an activity book and stickers.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

The PB landed in my account this morning, moved that to the CC pot, now standing at £257.16/1,154 (22%).
A while ago - 1 or 2 years - I got an email looking very much like spam. A data breach litigation was started against yahoo and I was offered the option to join the process. I looked into the company emailing me and they seemed legit so I signed up. In January I got an email asking me to choose my payment option, I don't think I chose cheque but today I have received one for $61.08!!! 🎊01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Been to the bank yesterday to deposit the USD cheque, it will take up to 8 weeks to clear 🙀
Cashed out from prolific, my CC pot stands at 24% now.
I bought a present for Child2, had to use money from the slush fund as the Children Pot is pretty much empty. I'll also have to use the slush fund to pay for 2 weeks of summer childcare, once hmrc sorts out my tax free childcare account. I have reconfirmed 2 weeks ago but I'm still waiting for them to approve it. Called them yesterday, got through quickly, but they said it takes them longer than usual and to call back if it's not done by end of next week. 🙄 I've booked the summer club already, I hope they don't cancel it before asking me to pay. Maybe I should be proactive and call to explain I will pay eventually, just hoping I only have to cover 80% of the total.
The slush fund is getting quite low so I decided to refill it with anything left over from the weekly budget. Not a lot (if any) most weeks but this Friday there will be something. Then everything else will go to the CC pot.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

The cheque has been credited, nat west charged a £5.50!!! fee for it, greedy buggers 😅
So with £39.95 from there plus some left over from the train tickets pot, the CC pot is at 33% of the £1,154 goal.
I have next week off and I planned a few free/low cost days out.
I have been so focussed on debt repaying / savings, I now got to a point where I started feeling like I have to live a little. I won't go crazy, won't spend more than I have. I have decided that starting January I will allocate more to the boys/days out pot. I want us to make more memories of fun days out, not just going to the local park over and over again and then spending the rest of the day staring at a screen.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

I have 28 envelopes to send to big cash prize ones, thanks Spectos for the free stamps!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

I just thought, I wonder if you have a diary and then I noticed I actually already read it lol!!!

Yes, it's the one Kantar used to run - although I was never on their panel, only found out about it late last year.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

I'm off this week doing days out with the children before I'm back in work until the end of summer. As expected I'm bleeding money. 💸
Not going out today though, they can rest while I clean the conservatory. We've seen moths around and they seem to come out from there somewhere. I keep a lot of my sewing and some of my knitting stash there but I emptied all drawers and boxes of fabric and yarn and couldn't find any traces of moths. Today I want to get everything out/moved including the drawers and day bed and see if I can find a nest. The other possibility is they're nice and cosy in the roof insulation, we've done the roof a few years back but didn't finish the edges properly so there are gaps where they could get in an out.
But first I need to hem a pair of trousers I made at the weekend, before my 'studio' gets turned upside down.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0
