    I thought most of the waste wood in this country ended up being lobbed into the burners at Drax power station.
    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

    I don't think they'd need to go that far.  There are plenty of local processes where crude heat is needed. For example, way back in the '70s I visited a cement works in Wiltshire where all the area's waste was burned in the furnace.
