Am I right in thinking that our only remaining option is Route 02 The no-nonsense approach – tell 'em you won't pay from this article?

Was the 3rd party mailing service The Delivery Group?  Sounds like the letters were not sent by that 3rd party.

The 3rd party mail service is called "Unity 5". I agree, I suspect that they didn't send the letters and that when the "debt collectors" sent them, they didn't use a 3rd party and so that's why I received them. Obviously I can't prove this. Or my other theory is that this is a new tactic to leverage more money out of people. Again, I can't prove this.

Regardless, I can't appeal it now so I'm guessing that the next step is to wait for them to escalate it to court? Is it worth complaining to any governing body? The BPA?

There's no governing body, it's a totally unregulated sector - anything goes, with the motorist picking up the bill!

If it were the BPA, it might have been worth an email, but this lot are IPC AOS members, so, nah, don't bother. Head and brick wall.

Hey Umkomaas, Thanks for the reply. Gotcha. So just sit back and wait for the court letter? IMO, no contract was formed. Our company vehicle was there for 8 minutes. The photo evidence doen't even show that the vehicle was outside of the bay but regardless, the tiny signage and the fact that it was only parked for 8 minutes should be enough to prove that no contract had been formed.

Without a landowner cancellation, there's not much else you can do but see what NPE's next move is, then deal with that then.

Also, if you get a copy of the NTK as part of a SAR to NPE, you should check it for POFA compliant wording.  Maybe they can't hold the Ltd company liable anyway.

The last time the OP even looked at the forum was well over 18 months ago. It's unlikely that he will ever see your query now. Send him a PM, that way he'll get an email alert from MSE - then hope he'll respond to you. But it's better you start a new thread of your own with details.
