Dropped kerb - any experience?

can you post a google street view address, had several dropped kerbs done (London councils) most were rejected by planning but successful on appeal.
Just saying that as some councils get it wrong and issue the wrong reasons to object, often historical reasons.
Cost wise, never had much change from £2k

Thanks. I don't see the council objecting but I do see cost being a limiting factor. Mentally the leap from £2k to £3k is just too huge.Another_Level said:can you post a google street view address, had several dropped kerbs done (London councils) most were rejected by planning but successful on appeal.

I got mine done by a local firm and it wasn't that pricey but too long ago to give you a guide. I still would expect it to be more in the range of £1500.The pavement was supposed to have been resurfaced the following year and the workmen suggested I wait and they'd do it at a fraction of the price but of course they were working elsewhere by the following year.Did you have a direct quote at the staggering price of 3,000?

It can depend on what's under the pavement between the drive and the road.
Several people on our estate have extended from single to double drives, with the dropped kerbs being done by the same council approved contractor.
Difference of £300 between 2 houses just yards away from each other - because a service access point had to be moved.1 -
