Received Two Items

That aside, you haven't paid for it and therefore it isn't yours. As such you have two options, either return it or buy it. Depending on if you actually want a second one it could well be worth while explaining to the vendor that given the time-lapse you'd forgotten the exact detail of the order and had assumed the item was a pair and as such have used both and don't have the packaging. Given they have to cover the cost of picking it up, it presumably cannot be sold as new etc they may be willing to sell it to you at cost or such, alternatively they may want it back and will just use it themselves... you have no right to a discounted price but it may just work best for both parties. Just need to be clear you're happy to return it to them.3 -
If you thought there should be two, why did you not query it when you only received one.
