How quickly is NHS App updated ?

Options
Does anyone know how quickly the NHS app is updated with Covid Vax info ?
Planning a holiday departure 5 days after my wife's 2nd jab and obviously if it's not updated she'll need a PCR test.
Thanks in advance.

    Oh that's good to know.
If it's not there by day 3 there would still be time for a test.

Think you need 14 days grace after second jab regardless, to be allowed to use as vacc passport.

Most countries require 14 days past your second jab, as said above. Any chance of moving that second appointment forward. Current guidance is at least 8 weeks between jabs.

    Sadly not.
We're in Ireland at the moment and although entry into UK is restriction-free the return journey involves PCR test and 2-week home quarantine.
Just as easy to get the test when we fly into UK a couple of days before our departure.
In case you're wondering Ireland doesn't expect to allow holiday travel abroad till well into July hence our circuitous route to get jabbed and go away.

Worth allowing time for the vaccine to become effective and allow a degree of protection.

Isn't that just for over 50s and clinically vulnerable?

No, my son in law has had his 2nd vaccine brought forward and he's ony 30 and not vulnerable. My daughter is 20 and also had hers brought forward by 3 weeks, although she does has Autism.
