Car pulling to the left

You are correct, it is definitely belt driven and PAS fluid.Goudy said:I seem to think the 2.2 D4D was a hydraulic system, so belt driven pump and PAS fluid.
There could be a number of reasons why it's tugging, dragging brake, worn or seized track rod end, tyres, worn wheel bearing, suspension problem, excess play in the pinion or UJ, play in the rack mounting bushes.
Any clonks, rattles or knocking?
I think I am just going to have to live with it, whilst the car is an older car, it suits us brilliantly not having a car payment, the fact you can get three ISO fix seats across the back seats and a big buggy and a kids bike etc in the boot at the same time means its worth its weight in gold for us.
Sounds like we could really through money at it given the things you have listed. I really appreciate everyone's input today - thank you.
The MOT is not until November, we will see what that throws up.0 -
It's not the OP's car. The person whose car it is, isn't bothered about it but the OP couldn't leave it alone. Let the wife decide whether she wants any more interference.Hunyani_Flight_825 said:There should be a very slight pull to left due to road camber. Find a decent stretch of clear road and drive on the right and see how it performs. If still pulling to left then you have a an issue (whether worth doing anything about will be up to you).
But take it back to the garage and ask them what you should do.0 -
Since when does she get to decide? 😂General_Grant said:
