Thank you! Ah I'll remember to do this if there's a next time.nicestrawb said:Well done! Although you should have brought up the issue of costs.... These PPC's and their minions are an absolute disgrace, not even turning up is an abuse in itself. Gladstones are comically useless...
I think I got a bit too excited over the dismissal, forget to mention it!Jenni_D said:If you didn't say "Thank you sir (madam). Now, as to the subject of costs...." then you've (probably) missed the boat. (Unless you decide to raise a claim against the PPC).
Another (UKCPM) One Bites The Dust
Ahh okay! No worries, at least the case is over now.
If anyone ever gets Judge Hartley, make sure to put emphasis on the landowner authority. He said the landowner not identifying themselves was the main reason for dismissal.
I didn't even mention it to him and he immediately said this was why it was being dismissed.
Although I appreciate the law experience, I'd really rather not go through this process again. I'm overjoyed with the outcome, but the time that has gone into this process has been not worth the cost of the original fine!D_P_Dance said:Neverthe lessyou will have spent time reading about the law amd other stuff. Take revenge on the PPC, read this and decide whether you want to go after them or not. Clearly they had no reason to obtain your details from the DVLA .

Well done on your win, shame about costs (did you have any) but as @Jenni_D and @nicestrawb said you missed the slot. What a pity the judge thought that adding "debt admin" costs, which is against POFA and consumer rights act and any moral code you can think of is NOT an abuse of process.2

Yes, Bradford Judges used to do that but they have now been overruled by HHJ Saffman in VCS v Percy on appeal, as @bargepole posted last week.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
