I doubt that 'marksandspencerbond' is a genuine M & S site .
Also M&S would not send unsolicited e mails about financial products .2 -
It's a scam. The bond may exist but doesn't have FSCS protection and isn't sold to retail investors with that interest rate.
Website domain registered 15/5/2021
If you are getting emails like that beware that you may be on a scammers listRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.4 -
I’ve received this as well. Too good to be true ☹️0

Its a scam.
The best 5 year savings bond (covered by FSCS up to £85K) = 1.4%
1. So a 1 year bond = over 5% = Scam!
2. This bond does not come from NS&I, Bank, Building Society or Credit Union.
This means it is an investment, so it will not be covered by the FSCS up to £85K, as they tell you = Scam!
3. The website was created on 15 May 2021.

I love how their 'privacy policy' link goes to the SSE website - clearly that was the last scam they were pushing and forgot to update the link with the rest of this (pretty amateur) web page

Edit: oh yes indeed, and here's the FCA warning about the SSE variant...

Looks like the EDF bond from last week got shut down so they are trying again with M&S!1

Amateur website considering M&S haven’t used the green colours for some time but the link to the real one is the current black and white0

This one has now been shut down, it appears.1

Watch out, there is another very similar scam likely to become active soon - marksandspencersavings.com - same fingerprints all over it.

Are you just putting the finishing touches to the website then?id311299 said:Watch out, there is another very similar scam likely to become active soon - marksandspencersavings.com - same fingerprints all over it.
