You're right Anjyeah it does increase NSDs. Every cloud and all that !! Nothing spent again today after rain all day. Just managed a quick walk with the dog in between downpours. Been on the comparison sites for my car insurance and can reduce my monthly payments by £27.00 a month which is brilliant news and is with my Bank not some insurance company I haven't heard of. Will ring my present insurer tomorrow to see if they can reduce their renewal price but I don't hold out much hope and, if not, will cancel at the end of the term and go with my Bank and save some money. Also cancelled my DS Xbox live payments as he is using his PS more now (change of friend group !!!) so thats another £10 a month saved. A good money saving start to the weekend....although I'm scraping the bottom of my bank account this weekend as its payday next week.

Well I've just phoned my present car insurance provider and guess what they can reduce my payments by £24.00 per month !! Just shows how its best to give your existing company a call when your policy is due for renewal. My Bank gave me a quote that would reduce my payments by £27.00 per month, but a £3.00 difference is neither here nor there so I have stuck with my existing insurer this time. Topped up bread and milk to last us to our next Mr T delivery on Tuesday so hopefully no more spending until then. Roll on pay day and I can top up by saving pots and start all over again. Need to get some housework done. DD and my grandkids have been round for the morning and her washer is broke, so I have done a couple of wash loads for her to keep the kids in clothes for the week. Now to get my house in order. Blue skies but windy outside. Might save my ironing pile for tomorrow when the rain is due to make a return to the north west again !!

Monday again!! Had my regular Monday morning long dog walk with my daughter and caught up with our gossip. Had our annual boiler service with BG. Should have been done last August, but due to Covid the services have been delayed. Can't imagine they will be delayed in putting their prices up for servicing later this year though. Just been to our local garden centre for a hanging basket for the back garden. Usually I make up my own and buy more bedding plants for pots, but don't know whether its due to the rubbish weather we are having, but our winter violas are still in full bloom and I am loathe to take them out of their pots to replace with summer bedding plants. Will see how that goes if we ever get some hot weather. Other than Mr T's delivery that's my last spend till pay day on Thursday and considering I have only paid for bread and milk this weekend I am happy with that. I have caught up with by TV viewing. Can highly recommend Innocent on ITV and Three Families on BBC. Finished my book, although I have another three waiting on my Kindle. Caught up with washing and ironing and just need to run the hoover through the house then I am ready for work tomorrow.0

Mr T has delivered our food shop today. Cupboards, fridge and freezer all stocked up for another week. Planning a day out over the long weekend so will have a meal out somewhere or takeaway when we get back home. Hoping to see the sea for the first time this year. Had £27 left in my bank account before payday so have transferred £25 to my credit card then when I get paid will pay another £100 off. At least its going down and not up this month. Small and steady wins the race !!!2

Well pay day came and went but £100 re-started my emergency fund. Lets see how long it stays there. DH says the chimney job can wait until nearer winter so am hoping to hit £500 before we have to dip into it again. Paid £100 off my cc which left a balance of £300. DH owed £60 to Nxt so paid that off using my CC after seeing him being stung by the interest rates. We have totally separate money (very long story - but both been bitten in previous marriages so thats how we roll). He is retired and, although he gets state pension, this month is MOT and service for the car which is his department and I don't want to see him hit with interest that seems totally disproportionate to what he owes. My CC is interest free until November so hopefully it will all be paid off by then any way. DS needed new football boots so they were added to the CC too. He has loads of problems with his feet so any cheap pair would batter his feet. So that was £85 added.. So CC has taken a battering again this weekend. I use Microsoft Money (old habits die hard) so have planned my money up to the end of July and should hopefully have the majority of my CC paid off by then. Off work till Thursday so hoping for a trip to the seaside either Tuesday or Wednesday. Weather seems to be holding out this week. Lovely to spend some time just chilling in the back garden and getting some sun.1
