Self-care is such a double edged sword. You want to do so much but don’t have the time because of work, now that I have the time (annual leave), I’ve lost all motivation. So all my plans for an outdoor walk, declutter are all on hold at present…
All I do is nap. The only thing productive I’ve done (which is a relief) is that I managed to start is my work portfolio before I’m due for my appraisal. It’s not due until late July and almost done already - I think.
To remind myself and to gain some boost, I decided to read through on here again, checking everyone’s progress. I know my financial goals is just one aspect but having a quick reminder might just be the motivation I needed. I’ll be back later!

When I first did C25K week one nearly killed me. I read a lot about running and I read something that said that even people who ran often and were good at it would have a point where they struggled.I think the 10 minute mark was mentioned but I found mine to be more around the 8 minute mark (I'm old). When I could run for 30 minutes non stop the sense of achievement was worth the struggle. If you're sleeping then you must need the rest but maybe make a plan going forward to incorporate more exercise if that is what you want.1

Being so tired now might just be your come-upannce for working so hard before but ultimately it’s a sign your body needs it. Take the time to rest, try not to be so hard on yourself for taking a break and start a fresh xFollow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

I’m big into running and wanted to hopefully remotivate you prior to stating couch to 5k.If you can spare yourself 20 minutes today, head out and complete 20 minutes of walk/running. Nothing set in stone around pace or how long of each but judge by what you feel is exercise. Brisk maybe If you’re a beginner or out of practice.
Ps. I LOVE habit trackers and bulley journaling just havent got a creative flair. I’d honestly pay for someone to make me a pretty journal!
You should try it! I've only done it for more than a year and I've been hooked ever since. I don't have a creative flair either so I don't think I can monetise it for you just yet (lol side hustle alert) I just put it down in a layout that works for me - there are loads of minimal bullet journal ideas out there.Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Thanks @CRANKY40 and @MissRikkiC - I may have underestimated work last week but it was all worth it as I can see the effects that my overpayment has got me. I just needed to be a little kind to myself when things don't go my way as planned. Easier said than done because I love to plan things and then sulk when I overdo it.
Some good news before payday. I may have enough extra money to keep actually and I'm quite pleased with that. I used to be someone who would scrape every last penny days before payday. I think this time the extra I have will go to some personal spending as a reward for my overpayment this month.MissRikkiC said:anjyeah said:MissRikkiC said:Morning. How is everyone's weekend doing? Kickstarted mine with a date night. Also a payday treat between the two of us - worth it. And now I'm at home chilling and checking my finances post-payday.
As it seems, I am on track on paying off CC1 this month. When that is sorted - it will continue to be my spending card for low spends like mobile phone bills and will be paid at the end of the month. I plan to keep the card for usage for now until I get the courage to sign up for a rewards cards in the future. I need to make sure I’m on top of things first but that’s my plan.Future expenses have propped to mind when I asked the question about money pots, there are indeed expenses that I need to prepare for:
-Christmas, Birthdays, etc. - so one of my virtual pots go here instead.
-Annual Registration fee - (This is for work and costs me £120 per year - due September) - likely a portion of my overtime shifts will be allocated to this.Since it's the end of month, I am putting in the time to update my journal + spreadsheet and see where I stand. Keep you posted!

Hello! I've just caught up on your diary. Sounds like you're going great guns and well done on the balance transfer. I don't bullet journal but I do have a leather journal cover you can add different notebooks to. I keep a personal notebook and a work one in there and I love it. What kinds of things do you do in yours?Choose kind2

I just saw a post about a journal cover with different notebooks - it looks interesting to me but not ready to try it out yet. What system do you use?
I keep a notebook - the dotted ones from Moleskine- for personal and a separate planner just for schedules really. The personal ones has my goal-setting stuff - financial, health and wellbeing, career, passion projects, etc, and added mood and habit trackers on it recently, that and whatever random thoughts I decide to pen on the day. I also got a new notebook separate for work that has all work-related stuff on it.
I've only been religiously doing it for about a year-ish and I like the flexibility. If something does or doesn't work this month, then I have the option not to add that layout on the next. And if I need like I need a reminder of why I do these things, it serves as a vision board for me.My Debt Free Diary: Virgo In Pursuit

I love the idea of so many lists and went back to an old book last week but found that instead I think I do just prefer lots of lists on the fridge.
I feel a bit head in the shed right now with schedules and planning and convinced it’s down to my work being so quiet. I used to have quite a busy schedule, lots on at any one time and i really thrive when my life (and my work) is like that as I generally don’t have an off switch. With having my daughter and feeling generally unmotivated at work, i don’t think I’ve got back into the swing of things or found routine which I’m happy with.I know that’s quite a deep and meaningful reason to not being able to operate a simple journal system but feel that’s where I’m at although I’m hindsight aren’t these things supposed to be productivity planners?!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

I use the Paper Republic journal cover (basically you add whatever you want using a system of coloured elastic bands), the smallest size. I also use dotted paper
love it! But the Paper Republic inserts don't take ink that well so I bought some small dotted notebooks from Cultpens (Fabriano I think although lots of different brands fit). I don't really have a system for actually using them though. The personal one has financial plans, quotes from podcasts or books, doodles and random stuff. I did a 'get rid of 1 thing a day for 3 months' challenge and logged my progress there, same for 10,000 steps a day for Refuge I did in May. So it's a bit of a mess! That's why I'm interested in seeing how others use their journals so I can get some ideas
