The Scottish Cash Register does not have a specified time when they could call, at the moment. They could call anytime from 9am to 6pm and either once, multiple times or even none per day. So if a call comes after 3pm you need to be really on the ball to figure out if it is the UK or the Scottish Cash Register. The Scottish one is run over the Scottish and North England stations like Radio Clyde/Radio Forth and you need to be within their transmission area to enter.

Hi Pate, if the Scottish one can ring anytime, then if I was able to enter the Scottish and English cash register, I would seriously when the presenter rings introducing themselves would politely just ask are you ringing from the Scottish or English cash register, and give the correct amount for whichever one presenter confirms they are ringing from. 

  Be nice if the Scottish cash register would allow the rest of the UK to enter

Seems logical, but I guess in the heat of the moment ....... when I won a radio comp 4 years ago there were two possible competitions that could have called, and I was in the middle of work - mind racing and fairly shocked and confused (listen to the edited version of the call if you can find it on here!) I had to decide which amount was the correct one from the clues in the presenter's comments; I DID ask what station they were calling from but got the response " the one you entered the competition on" which did not help a lot.
It has always been a bit of a bone of contention about the different Cash Registers, but the Scottish one is just a larger version of the "can only enter if living in the transmission area" or "only enter if in the following postcodes" type of comp. I assume different management/budgets/etc even though they are all Bauer stations.

The problem only arises (at the moment) if the Scottish Cash Register calls between 3pm and 3.30pm (or thereabouts, personally I don't expect a call after 3.15pm though the one I won was at 3.21pm), ovelapping with the UK Cash Register time.

Friday - 3 rings gent answers hello, presenter says from cash register, think gent said cash register £105,000 is that the phone call. Gent says oh my god, is in middle of putting think he said toilet  into switch, leave it and go home now, breathless legs have gone like jelly. 

  Gent asks presenter not a wind up, presenter not a wind up. Gent says finish in 10 mins then tell my wife. go out for a drink and celebrate. Presenter says to gent not told you of win yet, gent hope after all that. Presenter says first answer think she says already given it to me, gent gives it is £105,000, presenter just won asks gent what his wife will say, gent don’t think she will believe it. Gent agrees with presenter will have a cracking weekend, holiday lately just come back lads weekend Ibiza, help daughter starts university she will have everything

Monday -3 rings gent answers hello, presenter that he is calling from cash register, asks gent how he is, gent fine thanks, presenter can hear road noises, gent picking daughter from school first day back. 
  Presenter asks gent in life money gent replies everything really think he said bills getting bigger. Presenter says accept first answer, exact amount how much in cash register today, gent gives £15,000, says would evening with daughter meal if that right, wins says lovely, thank you very much, made my day month, use it paying bills. Presenter think said voices in background, gent daughter on phone to mother.
