Why in god’s name did the guy today say £70,000

i literally put my head in my hands when he said it😢

Thursday- 3 rings gent answers hello, presenter asks how gent doing, gent replies fantastic. Presenter asks gent and he confirms entered cash register.   

  Presenter asks gent about last September, think gent said birthdays daughter and son is big spending month.  Gent says son 18 in 2 weeks, just wants money to go Turkey to get teeth done. 

   Presenter says to gent must take first amount he gives. Gent gives £70,000, presenter sats sorry not right amount oh no, she says it is £103,333. Gent  think said got to be kidding, never had it so not lost it. Presenter says think she said happens same people get call twice, sending you a big hug, gent no worries, no problem, thanks anyway. 

  (Gent did seem to have a Scottish accent, has gent given the Scottish cash register amount if it is £70k like other person recently)?

The most recent amount on the Scottish Cash Register thread is indeed £70k
Poor bloke.... I'm rarely able to listen to them playing the call but heard today's and feel so bad for him.

Hi Liz, I have just checked on Scottish cash register thread and it is £70,000, same thing happened recently. Not sure when Scottish cash register closes each day but if it is at same time ie 3pm can see why it is confusing

I will suppose it’s easy to get mixed up, but I never know what the Scottish cash register amount is, as being in the Midlands I’m not allowed to enter.

I have just had a look at the Scottish cash register thread and it looks like lines close 5pm, so not sure why gent today and other person recently are giving Scottish amount at 3pm, only reason might be they are assuming competition is really closing earlier than advertised and their call will be played after 5pm. 

  Perhaps might be an idea for the Hits Radio lady Hattie to say she is calling from the English cash register

why  can Scottish people enter the English one but English residents cannot enter the Scottish one? Seems unfair

that's the choice of the radio group (not a decision I agree with)
