Is there a really detailed online method to check NICs?

This check https://www.gov.uk/check-national-insurance-record only tells you if years are complete or not. This matters when checking your state pension eligibility.
I'm going through my & wifes records online and called HMRC about some discrepancies. They don't seem to be able to go into any details but one HMRC helpdesk person said there was a more detailed record available online, but they couldn't remember where. I'm looking to confirm which employers stopped/started paying my NIC and when. I've hunted for such a thing and not been able to find it so far.
Has anyone heard of such details being available online via a government website?

I'm waiting for a reply to my request for information and will happily post what I get, unless nigelbb gets his response before me.

Update: just received a letter from HMRC explaining that my request is classed as a 'complex' request and they will not be able to meet their normal Subject Access Request turnaround time of a month. They aim to reply by 7 August 2021.
Wonder how @nigelbb is faring?Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
That's interesting! More likely that you got added to the queue with the rest of SARs? They do have a SAR team but I won't be surprised if it is only a handful of staffs0

I would suggest ‘nigelbb’ that you put aside some quiet time when you receive the requested SAR.I made a request earlier this year and subsequently received 135 double sided pages of information !!It will include limited detail of previous employers, earnings, contributions etc.It will also include details of your bank accounts and interest paid !!
it was quite an eye opener for me.3 -
