Leaving / Downgrading Sky - Advice Please

So my situation at the moment is that I'm paying £75.00 for the standard package with Sky Sports and the old Sky HD Box.
No broadband included no Cinema package, no Sky Q.
I called to try to cancel (before my phone cut off!), but after telling them I won't be watching sports during the summer, as the football season is over, they basically tried to offer me the Sky Q, without a mini-box (I currently use Magic Eye for the bedroom), for just over £40.
Which sounds to me like a terrible deal, as if I take Sky Sports away it's about that price, anyway.
I wonder if I should accept that offer, and accept the price will be back up to around £75 if I want to re-add Sky Sports back in the future, or haggle for a much better deal?
I've been in doors a lot since last March, as most of us have, so still wondering whether less TV could be a good thing. But if I did renew, I'd surely be wanting Sky Q + Sky Q mini-box + Sky Sports remaining, all for a lot less than I'm currently paying?

I have the same as you on a SKY+ HD box for £37 a month.

If you are out of contract or coming up for contract renewal, put cancellation in..you should get an offer during negotiations to leave and if you don’t like that price, then it is likely you will get offers on your account. People are getting Sky Signature for around £18 and Sports for £14, so they are deals to be done, there will probably be a charge for Sky q box but negotiate that too. Good luck.0

75 quid? standard and sports, no cinema? What the deuce? My parents have everything - entertainment, sports, cinema, HD, sports HD - and they "only" pay 60.Get on the blower and haggle a better deal!0

I've just cancelled my Sky TV, Broadband & phone deal. I was paying £70/£72 a month but as my contract ends on 21st June it will jump to £98. They didn't offer me a better deal, they never do, neither do Virgin, so it's back to Virgin I go. I've been swapping back and forth at the end of my contracts for about 8 years now.0

You can definitely get that Sky package for a better price, I would haggle with them and see what they can give you. Or they should at least give you more add ons like Sky Cinema and Sky Q for the amount of money you are paying.0
