Plus all the form filling / pcr tests restricted access to bars / restaurants etc locals not vaccinated.......no thanks ill wait till next year (hopefully)
That's my thinking. Not worth the hassle going abroad at present and won't be looking to go anywhere until at October at the very earliest - though I am thinking about flying to Scotland (Aberdeen or Inverness) in July and hiring a car for a few days to tour the Highlands.

The thought of wearing a mask for 3 (?) hours at the airport before, 5 hours on the plane and half an hour at destination airport don't make for a pleasant journey. :(
I had a flight in September (essential travel): 4 hours UK airport, 12 hour flight, 6 hours at destination and processing and transportation to a quarantine hotel. So that was nearly 24 hours with a mask, and plenty of stress and difficulty at the destination, not to mention the testing and documentation needed beforehand, which was very complicated. It was almost impossible to meet the requirements (due to timing of test results etc) and it was a gamble (that I had to take). International travel is not at all fun at the moment. I am surprised so many people want to do it right now.

The BBC reporter on the news tonight spoke to camera in the airport and on the flight to Portugal wearing a visor. Maybe a dispensation while working. 🤔

We went to Greece last year , 20 mins in taxi ,30 mins in check in then into the bar ,masks off , boarded plane mask off to eat sandwiches and drink coffee , shortish flight ,mask on in taxi transfer 12 mins then two weeks in the sunshine mask free ,would do it again if arrival airports get sorted out ,last year had to show gov form on phone when going thru customs ,loads of people did not have it sorted and had to leave queues and do it in airport .
