Hi
Have been having problems with connection dropping. Usually once a day. Need to restart router and connects again. I have connected directly to the test socket of master socket and so far no disconnections after 36 hours.
If there are no further problems while connected to test socket, what next? New faceplate?
Any suggestions welcome😁

If the issue clears up when you are connected to the test socket, then an extension you have is causing the issue. Using the test socket disconnects those extensions. You will need to sort those out yourself as they are on your side of the master socket.

Hi
Sometimes the filters can fail, or the no 3 wire for the ringer circuit causes problems.
You only need 2 wires to extensions etc and good quality filters.

You're best off replacing the faceplate with what's known as an "SSFP" (Service specific faceplate) which has an integrated filter.

There's a few available depending on if your master socket is flat or has rounded edges.0 -
Update
I had a disconnection this morning while connected to the test socket. So there must be another problem. Back to Plusnet then0
