Sorry - didn't want to go into every detail earlier. You want to use Accumulation units (which means any dividends are reinvested back into the fund).
This JISA is intended to be a long term investment for your child, and you don't want to generate an income.
The Income units pay out the dividends; they would appear as cash in the Fidelity account, uninvested and not growing any more, until you reinvested them, and that's what Accumulation units will do for you anyhow.0
